Arrest Warrant Obtained for Dealer Edoardo Almagià Accused of Trafficking Looted Artifacts Worth Millions
New York authorities obtained an arrest warrant for Edoardo Almagià, an antiquities dealer accused of trafficking looted Italian artifacts valued in the millions, with the Manhattan DA's Antiquities Trafficking Unit pursuing extradition from Italy. Matthew Bogdanos, head of the Antiquities Trafficking Unit, stated that if Almagià's name is the first on a provenance record, the object should be considered stolen.
